Wristwatches: Unitas 173
The War Department purchased job lots of Swiss and American watches on the outbreak of WW2, owing to shortages of stocks. Omega, Rolex, Unitas, Elgin and many other brands came to Britain in bulk for military use. Many were purchased after the way by Bravingtons jewellers in London, and it's possible that mine didn't see any action but were in store and sold at the end of the war.
